Dances from the Balkans with David Roberts April 2008

'Great fun. Gorgeous dances. Funny (humerous) teaching. Please come back!'

'Good to have provision of CD, notes and DVD to forget about trying to remember and just enjoy instead.'

'Lovely to be able to stay with (+therefore get to know) a fellow dancer. Great hospitality. Challenging acoustics but worth the occasional bit of effort.'

'Challenging but wonderful. Really enjoyed meeting dancers from far and wide and watching David - especially the pointed shoes!'

'Lovely dances and beautiful dancers to dance with. Hard work at times but good stuff.'

Celebrate the Global Village York Minster January 2008

'No matter where I am in the world, I would return to York to dance in the Minster. It's unmissable.'

'Last night in the Minster was one of the most fantastic experiences of my circle dancing journey. Being a creative writer I was unsure at times whether to leave the circle and write or whether to keep on dancing! The feeling of unity was overwhelming at certain moments and I am in no doubt as to why I dance with people with dementia. As you said last night "we are more alike than different" and I believe that  having dementia does not remove our ability to feel and love.

The last dance with the candles was for me absolutely beautiful and reduced me to silent tears. You have the ability to create an amazing atmosphere between strangers and the Minster was the perfect setting to achieve it.

I feel that in you I have found someone who I can dance comfortably with and look forward to dancing with you again in the not too distant future.'                                                      Kath
