Dances of Awakening - Saturday 4 February 2012
The first workshop of the new year! We dance to waken our energy as the earth shows the first signs of early Spring and the return of new life. You are invited to wear white or bring white candles or early spring flowers.
Costs: £15-£25 self select. [See below for more clarification]. Please book with £10 deposit.
An afternoon workshop for women to explore and express the fire within with Gypsy/Roma dances. Enjoy the sensual and expressive dance movements and the meditative and energising moods of the music. Dress up in anything while sparkles, jingles or jangles! Costs: £10-£15, self select. Please book with £5 deposit.
A very special day of live music from Bob Minney, Paul Boizot and Jo Denham. With dances on a Spring and May Day/Beltane theme, there will be traditional and modern circle dances, including some of Bob's! Teaching from Karen. This day will be from 10:30-4pm. Costs: Early bird special price of £32 if booked before 1 April. After 1 April, the cost will be £42. This workshop will be at Priory St. Centre, YO1 6ET, just a short walk from York Railway station, Megabus and the Coastliner service.

Note: 2012 costs are on a sliding scale and you decide what you feel you can afford. As a guideline, £15-£17 is for those on benefits, full time students or retired. £18-£22 is for those working part-time, and £23-£25 is for those working full-time or have a good income. For afternoon workshops, the guideline is £10-12 for those on benefits, etc. £13-15 for those working.
In an effort to keep costs affordable and circle dance accessible, workshop costs have not increased for the second year!
